While considering options for manipulating Windows services like testing the current status of the applications, or sorting the dependencies of the programs, WinServices is an efficient program. Basically it is an enhanced Windows Service Manager, which facilitates the user to start or terminate the Windows services and displays their current status in a color coded format.
It also allows creation of a snapshot of the current services, and the user can even compare it with a new configuration in future, in order to see the list of services that have been altered, added or removed. Moreover the domain administrators can also manage the network machine services in the same domain. The application is also capable of detecting whether the state of the running services change on-line and it saves a LOG with all changes.
Furthermore, there is much additional advanced comparison functionality and other features such as the provision of two new columns in the main list view; namely the Safely Disable and Suggested Setting. The former one tells whether it's safe to disable the service and the latter is the recommended setting for the particular user. There is even provision to store information in a file and restore the Start Type from this file.
It is available in English and Spanish for Windows 2000, Windows XP operating systems.
